What's Inside the Full Certification Course:
The full certification gives you deep, hands-on mastery of the Motivational Maps framework, not just the theory, but the real-world practice that makes you confident using it with clients, teams, and organizations. You'll learn to administer assessments, interpret results, and facilitate meaningful conversations that turn motivation data into action.
We offer the certification two ways, so you can choose the format that fits your schedule and learning style. Both cover the exact same content: individual adult maps, team map, and hands-on practicum, and lead to the exact same certification. The only difference is the pace: an immersive three days in person, or a steady five weeks virtually.
In Person
Three full days of immersive, hands-on training: two full days of Adult Maps, plus one full day on team maps. You'll practice in real time, get direct feedback, and leave ready to put the framework to work immediately.
Virtual
A five-week program that blends live learning with hands-on practice, so you can build your skills steadily while balancing your existing commitments.

How long does certification take?
Most participants complete certification within 5 weeks through our virtual program, or across 3 immersive days in person. You'll gain immediate access to your training portal and materials upon enrollment, but the certification is built around required live sessions for coaching, practice, and discussion. These sessions are essential for mastering the material, earning your certification, and connecting with the Motivational Maps® community.
Who is this program for?
This certification is designed for coaches, consultants, and MI-trained therapists and counselors who want to integrate motivation science into their work with clients. Whether you're guiding individuals, leading teams, or developing organizational strategy, Motivational Maps® gives you a measurable, practical framework to help others unlock their best performance.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you've ever worked with a client, team, or employee and sensed there was a deeper "why" driving them, one you couldn't quite name or measure, this certification gives you the tool to uncover it. Motivational Maps® helps you understand what truly motivates people, so you can guide them toward work, goals, and growth that feel authentic and energizing. If you're ready to add a research-backed, measurable framework to your coaching, consulting, therapy, or people-development work, this program is for you.
Can I start with the Adult Map Certification and upgrade later?
Yes. You can begin with the Adult Map Certification and upgrade to the Full Certification at any time. The investment you've already made will be applied toward the full amount.
Do I need to be ICF-certified to enroll?
No, but many participants are ICF-certified or plan to be. Motivational Maps® is an ideal complement to ICF coaching principles, strengthening your ability to measure and facilitate motivation-based growth. MI-trained therapists and counselors also find great value in having a tool that helps measure motivation.
What if I can’t attend one of the workshops live?
Each session is designed to be immersive, interactive, and deeply personal, so live attendance is required to gain the full benefits and complete certification. However, we understand that life happens. If you need to miss a session, you’ll receive access to the session recording and key materials to review on your own. You can also connect with Marie or your cohort before the next session to ask questions, clarify insights, and stay aligned with the group.
Will I receive ongoing support after certification?
Yes. You'll have continued access to the private Motivational Map® portal, the Americas Mappers Membership Portal, and the global community of certified practitioners. Your membership also includes quarterly meetings plus additional live classes, featuring live Q&A, guest experts, and advanced techniques, along with recordings of every session so you never miss out. You'll also receive 10 maps to start the year. For your first year, this membership is included as part of your certification. After that, it continues for just $495 per year, and includes 10 maps annually.
What’s the refund policy?
All enrollments are non-refundable, as each seat reserves your spot in a small, high-touch cohort. However, we understand that circumstances can change. If you're unable to complete your sessions, you'll have the option to join the next available cohort at no additional cost.
